Newcastle (#15, 31pts) vs Wolves (#8, 49pts)

Oops.
Prediction: C-C
Ryan
I was tempted to go with a Friday Night draw here but Newcastle have had a dip at the wrong time. Wolves are still going strong in their push to European football and I back them to continue here.

Premier League Predictions Matchday 32
Saturday, 9 April
Everton (#, pts) vs Man United (#7, 51pts)
Pintsized
Manchester United may have been totally uninspiring all year, but Everton are just plain bad. The Toffees have a bloated squad with bit-piece players on astronomical wages. Say it quietly, but they are really missing ‘he who shall not be named’ in the centre of the park. United to scrape an ugly result against a spineless Everton.
Prediction: 0-1
Ryan
It’s unbelievable to see these two teams where they are at the moment. Everton in particular would never have predicted themselves to be in a relegation scrap. Whilst not as bad for the visitors, the season for United is a damp squib now with a slight push for Top 4. I don’t trust United at all and don’t enjoy watching them but I trust Everton less and that’s the only reason I back the away side. Bring on the end of the season!

Watford (#19, 22pts) vs Leeds (#16, 30pts)
Pintsized
Rather than exhaust the ted Lasso memes, it would be wise to bring up the old school Soccer AM classic, Brad Bobley. In all fairness to Marsch, he’s managed to stop Leeds’ rot and earn a tasty 2-0-1 record in the past three matches. If Watford loses this weekend, they look doomed. Does Hodgson still have it in him to rouse his Championship level squad?
Prediction: 1-1
Ryan
Both teams here are still in a relegation scrap and both sides desperately need the points. Whilst it’s probably too late for a lacklustre Watford, Leeds still have a fighting chance but need to dig in for the end of the season. Difficult to predict but I think both will get a draw.
Prediction: 2-2

Prediction: 2-1

Southampton (#12, 36pts) vs Chelsea (#3, 59pts)
Pintsized
Humbled mid-week by Karim Benzema, Tuchel will be desperate to reignite some fight back into a Chelsea side th0-1at has shown its true colours since the oil money dried out. Although I’ve never fully understood the Chilwell hype, it is plain to see that Chelsea suffers without him featuring. Southampton are more than compact to drag out a stinker here if needs be.
Prediction: 1-3
Ryan
Chelsea took a Benzema beat down without much resistance at home and their morale will be down. Whilst there’s still a clear gap between the Top 3 and the rest, there’s definitely a gap between the Top 2 and Chelsea. Southampton don’t particularly care for these gaps and play consistently against everyone. I fancy the Saints to get one on Chelsea here.
Prediction: 2-1

Prediction: 2-1

Arsenal (#5, 54pts) vs Brighton (#13, 34pts)
Pintsized
Arteta dropping vital Champions League points with a 3-0 spanking to Crystal Palace? Kind of sus when you identify just how strong the starting XI was. Potter’s Brighton squad find themselves on a horrific spiral after a year of squad changing sales. Brighton has enough points to keep themselves afloat this year, but their defence needs a revolution this summer.
Prediction: 2-0
Ryan
Another team with low morale is Arsenal who were soundly embarrassed by an excellent Crystal Palace. This has put a dent into their Top 4 ambitions. Brighton are also well and truly done for the season. A dull draw against Norwich summed this up. One team has more to play for than the other so I’ll go with the home team.
Prediction: 2-0
Steviano
Prediction: 3-0

Aston Villa (#11, 36pts) vs Tottenham (#4, 54pts)
Pintsized
Gerrard continues to struggle to get to grips with the Premier League, with his midfield overload tactics having been found out fairly early. To be fair, with players like Jacob Ramsey, Philippe Coutinho, Emiliano Buendia, Douglas Luiz and John McGinn, it is easy to see why the Scouser wants the ball to stay firmly in the middle. Conte is working magic with a Dier (haha) squad but it isn’t pretty viewing.
Prediction: 0-1
Ryan
The fact that Spurs are front-runners for 4th place shows the lack of quality outside of the Top 3. The gap really is enormous. Aston Villa have turned into an up and down team with their performances but they seem to fancy the big games. I can see this being an exciting one with an impressive home win.

Premier League Predictions Matchday 32
Sunday, 10 April
Leicester City (#10, 37pts) vs Crystal Palace (#9, 37pts)
Pintsized
Underperformers meet overachievers. A proper football fan’s middle of the table match which means nothing. Europe is out of each team’s grasp while the drop would require nigh-impossible circumstances. My money is on Brendan Rodgers to just about out-score Crystal Palace at home.
Prediction: 3-2
Ryan
Leicester will surely have one eye on their European adventure so may take their eye off the ball here. They shouldn’t do so with a rampant Palace side visiting and on a high. Whilst I don’t see Palace repeating their Monday performance, I still fancy them to get something out of a distracted Foxes side who don’t lack quality but lack focus.
Prediction: 2-2
Steviano
Prediction: 2-2

Norwich (#20, 18pts) vs Burnley (#, pts)
Pintsized
My match of the weekend – Proper Brexit-ball™️. Dean Smith has accepted that Norwich will need to seek promotion to the PL next season, yet he has continued to tinker with his squad. Dyche pulled out a phenomenal result against Everton, and if anyone can inspire a survival push, it is that beautiful gravelly-voiced King.
Prediction: 0-2
Ryan
Calling this a relegation scrap would be an understatement. It’s the quintessential relegation 6 pointer. Norwich are already preparing themselves for Championship away days again but Burnley are not going down without a fight. This will be a tight, gritty affair with no quality and a lot of drama. The predicted 0-0 will highlight this.
Prediction: 0-0

Prediction: 0-1

Brentford (#14, 33pts) vs West Ham (#6, 51pts)
Pintsized
WEST HAM ARE MASSIVE. 10 men or not, the Hammers will conquer Europe! Unfortunately, a B-team will have to be rolled out against Brentford after a Thursday match. Brentford stopped their worrying slide a few weeks back, topped off with a 4-1 thumping of Chelsea. Just how long will the B’s streak continue this time, however?
Prediction: 1-1
Ryan
Both teams at different ends of the table. The home side still not safe in a relegation scrap whilst West Ham might be out of the Top 4 race finally but still have Europa League to focus on. The Hammers will have one eye on Thursday with everything to play for but should have too much quality for a downed Bees.
Prediction: 1-3
Steviano
Prediction: 2-1

Man City (#1, 73pts) vs Liverpool (#2, 72pts)
Pintsized
The peasant’s match of the weekend – Moneyball™️. Liverpool has no injuries, is on one of the craziest runs of form in recent memory, and are close to 100 league goals this season. To write off Pep, the shiniest head in football, would be foolish. In such an important match, this could turn into a brutal affair where red cards may fly.
Prediction: 2-0
Ryan
Is this a title decider? Although not the be all and end all, this game will surely have a big impact on who will be crowned champions. Both sides have a lot of quality and championship pedigree. So where do I see this going? The truth is you could argue for any result. I have to bottle it and stick down the middle.
Prediction: 2-2
