Pintsized Background

Shall we all agree to never speak of UFC Vegas 40 again? The cure to insomnia may have been uncovered after enduring twenty-five minutes of utter dross from the Women’s Featherweight division. In what was pitted as a technical showdown on the feet, Ladd forgot to bring along her firepower while Dumont was content with eeking out each round via bare minimum effort.

At least the bout between Andre Arlovski and Carlos Felipe wasn’t totally stale. Both men showed a fair bit of disdain towards each other during and after their bout. Experienced and as technically sound as a Heavyweight could be expected to be, Arlovski looked formidable during the opening stages. If Felipe somehow didn’t own a worse gas tank than a forty-two-year-old veteran, he probably could have blown over the exhausted Belarussian.
