Brighton (#4, 6pts) vs Everton (#7, 4pts)

It’s time to start the #PottyforPotter trend, lads. Two games in and I am already subscribed to the wizard-like Potter ball. Jokes aside, Brighton have a ridiculously talented player on their hands in Yves Bissouma. Completing 5 interceptions and winning 7 of 10 ground duels, Bissouma is a relentless force in the middle of the park. If Richarlison has his eye turned already towards PSG, he may not fancy taking on Bissouma’s heavy-handed pressure. Calvert-Lewin is finding a lot of service under the Benitez regime but really needs to be finding the back of the net with more consistency to cement himself as numero uno Toffee striker.

Prediction: 2-0

Ryan

An interesting clash of styles here with an attacking Brighton and more compact Everton, this could be a cracker. Brighton have impressed early season following the opener with a solid win against new boys Watford. Everton meanwhile played out an exciting draw against Leeds although they’d be disappointed not to sneak the 3 points back to Goodison Park. I can’t split this one – Brighton will have home advantage and I can’t see Everton losing this one either.

Prediction: 2-2

Steviano

Brighton have made an excellent start to the season which will give them confidence but Everton too have started quickly under Rafa and will be Potter’s stiffest test so far.   I think both teams will be content to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Prediction: 1-1
